I'm not saying multimedia is useless, but only give it to people when they ask for it. If you dump it on them to begin with, it slows down the navigation and distracts [users] from their mission.

With the Web, usability comes first, then you click to buy or become a return visitor.

A good web site is not about technology. It is about communication and reaching your customers.
